How this works

Patient View:

Confirmation of Debt Payment: The letter will state that the individual's medical debt has been paid, from which practice/provider it was associated with, the date, the amount and that they are no longer responsible for paying any outstanding bills related to that debt.

We understand that medical debt can be a significant burden, and we want to express our support and empathy for the individual's situation. We believe that everyone should have access to quality healthcare without the stress and anxiety of overwhelming debt.

In the letter, we may also include an invitation to donate to our cause to help us continue paying off medical debt for other patients in need. We appreciate any support that individuals can provide, whether through a one-time donation or recurring contributions.

It's important to note that any donation request in the letter is entirely optional, and individuals who receive a debt forgiveness letter are under no obligation to donate to our cause.

Practice View:

We work with healthcare practices and providers to identify outstanding medical debt owed by their patients. This may include debt that is in collections or has been written off as bad debt.

Once we have identified medical debt to purchase, we negotiate with the healthcare practice or provider to purchase the debt at a reduced rate. This allows us to provide relief to the patient while also providing financial benefit to the healthcare practice or provider.

After purchasing the medical debt, we reach out to the patients directly to inform them that their debt has been purchased and they are no longer responsible for paying the outstanding balance. This can be a significant relief to patients who may be struggling with medical debt and unable to pay their bills.

We believe in transparency and accountability, which is why we provide regular updates to our partners on the impact of our debt purchase program. We also share stories of patients who have benefited from our program and how their lives have been positively impacted by the relief of their medical debt.

Business Donors View :

We reach out to businesses to solicit donations to help us pay off medical debt for eligible patients. We explain our mission and how our debt relief program works, and we provide examples of how donations have made a real impact on the lives of patients.

We believe in transparency and accountability, which is why we provide regular impact reports to our donors. These reports detail exactly where their donations have gone and how many patients they have been able to help. We also share stories of patients who have benefited from our program and how their lives have been positively impacted by the relief of their medical debt.

We understand that creating a trusting relationship with our donors is essential to our mission. That's why we make an effort to cultivate long-term relationships with our donors by providing regular updates, hosting events, and creating opportunities for donors to get involved and make a difference.
